Driving around Penang

Rented a scooter to drive around the island. Was quite cheap just about 10 euros and the petrol only costs 50 cents a liter here! Started from Georgetown towards Tanjong Beach and continue west to the famous floating Mosque. Driving around the coast was beautiful. The roads are small, curvy but still well maintained so it wasn't difficult at all. Got so much sun this day sitting on a bike 10 hours in scorching 33 degree sunshine!

Map of Penang
The floating Mosque is one of the main attraction points on the northern part of the island. too bad it was tide so no water...Upper picture is from the beach facing the Mosque

 Reptile fish in the mud?
North west point of the Island, really beautiful and completely empty of people
Mountain peak at the central point of the Island
The bike, what kind of view did YOU have today ?
 Muslim community Mosque
Small beach in the north western part
South Asias biggest Buddhist temple - Kek Lok Si. Temple was build 1906 and is being upgraded day by day

Buy a candle, write a wish and place it in the temple

View from the upper parts of Kek Lok Si

This picture does not give a good image how big the altar was, but a wild guess is at least 50-70 meters high. Thats why it was a bit difficult to get the whole thing in the picture.
Driving over the 2 km long bridge to Butterworth
 Penang from the bridge
This is by far the longest bridge I ever crossed in my life
