Gorgeous Sydney

A place like no other, every-time coming down here it feels something of a different world. But it kinda is in terms of distances to anything. The nature is just something else. It's something with places really far south, the sunset it totally red and has this strange glow. Same thing in Sri Lanka the other week. Had some rain coming down one night and the rainbow from it was fantastic. Seldom see a 180 degree full bow over the horizon. And I just happen to be on the rooftop to catch it. When I was booking hotels there was some kinda mistake on the site because I got my room for less than half what it should have been. Pullman by Hyde Park is an amazing place! They have a pool on the roof & gym! Best place to get a glimpse of the skyline and Hyde Park. But I suggest you also stay a night or 2 by the harbour if it's the first visit to town to see the bridge & opera house.

Another one of those red/yellow skies...and some rain

HALO

Most days were sunny
Whole Sydney skyline
Probably the most famous dog in Sydney...Who talks! It's located just outside the Queen Victoria House...Kinda like the dog in Tokyo in Shibuya although that one does not talk.
Some old colonial style shopping & coffee at the Queen Victoria Building
Xmas comes early this year
  Top floor
Some people watching
Coffee is my life

Really put down a lot of work for this watch
Spirals...that seemed to lead nowhere
There are just so many awesome motorbikes in this city. Have to do a roadtrip later
St. Andrews cathedral is worth checking next to Town Hall

Heard "The Martian" was good so went to see it. Cinema was pretty empty. Costs 25 dollars to see a movie here...I IMAX it's 35. Better choose a good movie so it's worth it!
Still remember this place for about 2 years ago, was pretty broke then so just had to go with cheap food. Nevertheless, this Mexican place is awesome AND cheap!

Had a meeting all the way out in Warriewood. It's about 40 km outside downtown. Took a walk around the area and happy I did so :) Gigantic kebab and beaches!

To the Down Under - Sydney

Really felt exhausted with a second night flight in a row...long hauls in economy are just soso much fun. Think I slept in the plane from Singapore to Sydney but did so feeling half unconscious and awake at the same time. Thanks Fred so picking me up from the airport in Sydney and letting me stay at your awesome penthouse for the weekend! My door is always open for you where ever in the world you might be. We went to a fitness expo where Fred was competing as former Sydney lifting champion! Beast push of 155 kg! The expo had all sort of cool fitness stuff and I even met Zyzz big brother! It was one of those "Bucket list" days...

Weather was perfect on the weekend so had to take some advantage of the incoming summer. Chilled at the beach and got well rested after VERY VERY long flights. You try Shanghai-Singapore-Colombo-Singapore-Shanghai-Singapore-Sydney in 3 days and you'll know what I mean. Oh jeah, and make them all night flights.

Sun setting over UNSW campus
Crap airplane food after a 16 hour journey this gigantic set of amazing Japanese food was just the best treat
We came 1 hours before everything started, good to be in time!

Totally retarded look BUT at least I met Zyzz's brother :D I alwasy imagined he would have been taller than me but I was half a head more!
Nothing better than start a weekend morning with some fine breakfast and fresh coffee
Went to chill at Coogee beach for a while. Must come place every time. Spent my 30th birthday here and on the same day got this job I'm doing now. Time flies...Celebrate this 30 degree sunshine day with a Lord Nelson

Why is it great to live next to the horse racing track? Well, you can just watch the race from own balcony. Run like the wind!!

Shanghai for 1 sleep

I didn’t really have time to do much else than tons of paper work at office, go do a quick gym set work a bit more home. Finish the day off with a few hours of Witcher 3 and then it was bye bye Shanghai again. Coming home is like going to a drive-through in McDonalds. This year the 1-2 days home before leaving has become more of a routine than exception.  Order new clothes, pack the bag then leave again.

Sun rises at 6 am on the Middle Kingdom (usual reference to China 中国)
You know your back in China when there is a sign like this in the gym...
Although Shanghai is a metropolitan hyper modern city you also find a lot of buildings like this. Loads of small bike repair shops who usually do a pretty good job for a very cheap price. They also make keys to cars, houses or bikes in just a few minutes. this kinda service you can never find home...

Street food and all kinds of shops in every corner. Forget english here :)
It's great when you can tailor all your clothes, for really cheap too
 MMMMM, those chicken feet....
Good night Jing an, tomorrow a loooooong trip awaits to "down under"
