Day trip to the Kingdom

This is the first time in my life I've taken a day flight to Sweden and back. No matter work or tourist this city is always lovely! Tried to official ice cream Nobel price receivers get at the Noble museum and went to se Vasa again, already 3 years since last time. Fantastic sunny day.

So true! Lund, Helsinki, Espoo, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Stockholm and Tokyo all feel like my homes and in most of them years spent!

Pellinge - Island life

2 relaxing day out in the archipelago. No cars, no other people, just sound of few boats passing and wind breeze. This is what Nordic summer is all about!

Taking the car to the ferry and then our boat final 10 km
Perfect! day we had
Peeling potatoes have never been easier than with these gloves
Feast!
Second day: BBQ
Blue!!
5 am morning fishing

After 33 summers spent here I managed to first time in my life go out to Klovharun. Klovharun is Tove Jansson's little island that has 1 house on it and it in the middle of the ocean. If the wind is strong it's a very difficult place to get to. Really cool though and worth going to ! This kind of place you will not find elsewhere and besides it's the mother of all Mumin characters.

Landed!
What an amazing place...to live here 6 months without power, running water or people. You can rent this by the week but need to apply why you want to rent it.

Was also nice to go to sauna, chill and eat way too much home-food. Good to be here and good to have a bit of vacation away from everything else.

Kaj got to meet his cousin Neah for the first time!

Back in Finland!

Landed in Tokyo around 8 pm and got home just before 10 pm. Time to pack and fix the house up before we leave Tokyo for 1 month! Can't wait to come home and spend some time in the north and also have Kaj see beautiful Finland during the summer. Although I'm not really sure how much of a summer it will be, temperature about 15 degrees and rain is to be expected. First 2 days in Espoo were fantastic, lot of good food and gorgeous sunset riverwalk.

Lot of stuff with us!
 Sökö ocean side walk
Summer don't get much better than this
I used to spend so many summer evenings on these cliffs about 15 years + ago. We used to drink way too much beer, cider and crap awful sweet wines. But hey, I guess that's what stupid teenagers do.
I just realised what a beautiful view we had! But when I think about it, didn't pay attention to the view before. We just came here because it was a clear space and no one would bother us here. So much you change in 15 years....
I found my Twin Peaks...Which is a FANTASTIC serie! Re-watching season 1 & 2 and looking forward to start with the all new season 3 that was just released
 Morning jog in the forest
and some outdoor Viking Gym with that :)
Went to have brunch and next to the restaurant there was some art. This one was called Friday Bacteria
 I named this "Shattered Dreams"

Fantastic! (but rainy) Boracay

This year we had very bad luck with the weather compared to last. Was raining EVERY day except the last one but we got pretty wet at the company pool party instead. Few days BioGaia training and some great Filipino food. After this it's holiday time for me back home in Finland, will be a loooong flight back.

No straight flights to Boracay so need to transfer in Manila
Transferring terminals in Manila is time costly and the cram you in a tiny bus
After arriving to Caticlan airport there is an additional 2 bus transfers + boat transfer
Very busy traffic between Caticlan and Boracay bringing in tourists
 Hello Savoy Hotel!
Free Willy
Rain rain rain but at least we got a glimpse of the beach

Cleared up a but after a few hours

Gigantic seashell
Streets of Boracay, tuktuk is the way to transport

 2 days BioGaia training

 Putting sales practice into action
Had a bit of sunshine and went to Puka beach for a few hours, nice break from work!

My kind of coffee break from the office

Sea can't be feeling too good here, loads of dead corals
Station 2 at Boracay always crowded
But after sun came rain again, flooooood!
Last day our partner organised a fantastic dinner and pool party

Party still went on until very late, and very loud. Earplugs did the trick to sleep
Rain...again. Now a looooong way back to Helsinki! First a switch in Manila then a 8 hour stop in Tokyo to pick up my stuff & family. Wish we were in Helsinki already...
