A weekend in Ningbo

Where do you arrive if you take the train about 3 hours south of Shanghai? Ningbo! I'm still amazed how Chinese people always are in a hurry to get in and out of the train. People start rushing and pushing themself inside before the pasangers even gotten out. Just push push scream and shout and drag all your huge bags after you and don't give a damn about the people around you. Same thing in subways, I often use the elbow tactic just to make a point to stay out of the way before the rest are out. Gets me nowhere. Seriously. IT'S NOT ANY FASTER!!!! Most people are just so self centered here, it's always ME ME & ME! And everytime you go to other cities than Beijing or Shanghai they look at you (blonde foreigner) like I'm some animal in a Zoo and point fingers. Just great. What ARE you looking at/for and why? But what is faster and awesome are the trains! The rail network in China with all the bullet trains is just amazing. You can travel to so many places so fast and very cheap. The tickets to Ningbo cost me 98 rmb one way and the same amount back.
James moved here a few months ago and this was the first weekend I had totally free. This is one of Shanghai businest port cities and back in the days western people used to use it as a very important trade hub. A lot of old buildings are still left from that time. It's the "Laowaitan" which means "Foreigners Bund". Shanghai also has a bund but this is a miniature of that version. Thanks a lot mate for an awesome weekend. And great curry!

Something like a nice version of Sanlitun and small version of Shanghai Bund
Not really sure what the GXG stands for...
An old cathedral by Portuguese, I think
Saw some funny things here too, someone labled this on his/her car gas-tank lid. I doubt they teach much about Europes history in China...FAIL
