Brunch @ Peace Hotel, Blind massage & Tanning

Sundays are always one of the best days in Shanghai. There are so many great places to have champagne brunch at! So far I’ve only been at Meriden’s champagne brunch but this time we went to try the Peace Hotels “free flow”. The Peace Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Shanghai and it’s the same place Alexander Stubb held his seminar when he was at Shanghai a few months ago. They had buffet with great cheese and a wide array of desserts. You can also choose 1 starter and 1 main course. I got some really awesome pancakes with goat cheese and then lamb salad with feta cheese. For the price of 388 you get all this AND as much champagne as you can drink + any other kinds of drinks. This weekend was a lot of going out so I only manage to drink 2 glasses. All in all an awesome brunch but nothing compared to Meridien. This place makes you feel that you just stepped about 100 years back in time and if you’re only visiting as a tourist I’m sure you’d love it.

Weather has been misty and rainy for a few days now...

After eating about a kilo of cheese and other things I went to blind massage for the first time. It was one of the best ones I had so far. It wasn’t any “beating” like many massage places in China are. And the price after you buy a membership card is only 50 rmb for 1 hour. Warm recommendations! So after having a great start of the day why not continue with some tanning? Going to Philippines next week so some slight per-tanning seemed like a good idea. The place is called Bronze Bodies and it’s about 100 rmb for 10 minutes. Was surprisingly hot but afterwards I didn’t feel much browner at all. Guess it needs a few times before you can see any change.
