Chinese new year always comes after the "Western New Year" in the lunar calendar. The dates vary a little from year to year but this year it was on January the 22nd and it is now the year of the Dragon! Everyone who is born 1988 should have an good and lucky year now!

We started the new year at Mi Tierra, a Merican restaurant. They had all-you-can-eat brunch from 11-15.30 including as much margaritas as you could drink. Food was alright and so was the price, only 300 rmb for the whole lot.
In the evening we had some home karaoke followed by sitting @ Immus place on the 45th floor watching all the fireworks. It sounded like the city was under attach and that a third world war just started because there were fireworks from early day until VERY late. Same thing continued the next day, can't walk anywhere in the streets without having to listen to bang-bang-boom-boom.
