One night in Bangkok and the worlds your oyster

Been some time since here last time, the city of sin as many call it. It's more like a party city that never sleeps with awesome food and smiles where ever you go! You have to watch this 80's song to get into the Bangkok mood :)

Food is cheap, massages awesome, smiling people everywhere and it's a lot of fun to take a Tuk Tuk when you go to places.

First Singa beer, ice cooooold with some Pad Thai yum yum
Haha, the big sandbox of games
 Sun sets over Bangkok

 Denhär är till Mamma, kram
 Guest photography by Mikko :)
Out for a drink in Sirocco tower, same place where they filmed Hangover 2 movie. 360 degree view of the whole city. The world really is your Oyster here!

This and that in Shanghai

My roomie bought a bicycle but it got a flat tyre 7km from our home. How to take it home? Can't fit it in a taxi and don't wanna walk that way either. Go with a scooter and put it on your shoulder! Problem solved, getting a bike, with a bike. Oh jeah and it was sorta raining that evening, jei. The bikebike rider !
Looks comfortable huh? Crossing Yan an road
Eskil moved to Shanghai from Beijing a while ago, got a gym buddy after so many years of going alone! Awesome!
Same massage in Jingan just next to home I've been going to since 2011...They still have an almost 2 hour long massage for about 8 euros, nice!
The DVD shops here sell the newest stuff here, its just about 1-2 euro for each
New meets old, it's just a matter of time when those small houses will be demolished and new big ones replaces them
Went to an event near The Bund in the night, it's a futuristic scene
On Sunday there was a South America food festival. Drinks and foods from all over the latin continent. So good! You could get 1 set meal from each country and 3 drinks. Price at door was 350 rmb but def worth it.
Live band too

Steaks!

Just before the rain...When I left office the other day it was very very RED. Never seen it like this before. It's like as if the sky was bleeding.
The UFO arena, I remember seeing Akon here many years ago

Swedish Crayfish Party in Pudong

Every year the Swedish Chamber of Commerce organises a crayfish dinner for all it's members Haven't been now for 2 years, I think last one was in Shanghai back in 2012. Food is awesome, its a good way to meet other companies and people in Shanghai and why not have some sips on Linje Akvait as well because it's something "rare" in this city. This year it was organised in Paulaners Brewhouse on the Pudong side.

Sponsor Speeches

Helan Går, now munch munch on crayfish
A celebrity host flown from Sweden to entertain us
Over 300 people joined the annual dinner

So convenient to live here

Only in Asia! My shopwer broke, I took it down and went downstairs. There is a shop that sells pretty much everything, got a new hose for 4 euros and had the thing patched up in less than 10 minutes total. It's just so convenient when everything is at reach here. Back home you would have to look up some store that sells things for your home. Shanghai is AWESOME (not only because I can fix my shower quickly though)

"Mamas & Papas" store. They sell pretty much everything here and also live here. Like you can see the whole family was having dinner when I stormed in demanding a new shower. Took them 20 seconds to get it for me. Very nice people :)
Home to install it and...all good!

How hard can it be to register a bike? CHINA!!!

There are some new rules in Shanghai starting from September 1st that even though you only have an electric scooter it needs to be registered. Before you didn't...So I can just imagine what a wonderful job the police at the office will have now when millions of bikes need to be registered immediatley. If police catches you without the "licence" they confiscate your bike. So better get it registered....Well I went to buy a new electric scooter because the other one i got from Kari does not have a battery you can take out. Makes charging it very difficult...Bought a brand new scooter, went to the police station to register. First time I come they say it's TOO WIDE, cannor register a scooter like that...Ok, well solution for this was just to take the front iron bar away. And back to the police station again....So far so good after waiting in a que for 1.5 hours. When it's my turn finally they say someone has already registered your scooter. What? Yes, it is registered for Mr. Chen in Shanghai Songjiang district. OK! Great! Well back to the shop AGAIN. They said that they will have a new scooter coming next evening....great. Next morning the guy at the shop calls me HURRY UP AND COME PICK A SCOOTER! I wonder what the hurry is suddenly. When I arrive there is a whole truck full of bikes, he wants me to choose one. I take an almost identical one and off away goes my "old" bike. Really monkey business....Tomorrow I will go an try AGAIN to register the "new" bike. Really hope it works now and never need to go and register stuff again!

Brand new scooter in the shop!! Or is it?
Taking off the iron bars in front after the first try...
Waiting in line to enter the police station....was soooooo slow
The "old" bike  goes bye bye and a new same one with hopefully un-used serial number is mine
It also takes about 4-5 people to watch what is going on when a white guy changes his scooter...
 The new one!!
And up in the truck goes the old one...

Finally got it!!! Mine mine mine
At least the evening was super pretty! Pics from my rooftop on the 28th flooor
