Shanghai has the biggest community of Finnish people outside Finland! Over 1000 people working here and yesterday over 300 of those were at the gala!

We started the evening by driving around in a limousine in town for 2 hours drinking champagne. Kari and me made a floormop-Finnish flag that we were waiving from the roof of the car, should be pretty good Finland promotion driving around on the bund in a limousine with a huge flag from the roof :) Please send me more tax money Finnish government.

After the 2 hour drive we arrived at the party. It started with the ambassadors handshake like the usual Linnanjuhla party like we have back home. After everyone was gathered there were a few speeches. The buffee was really good and open bar had a lot of drinks to offer. We also had a Finnish band called Flipper flown from Finland to play for us. Was great to hear songs like Hei me heilutaan vaan, leevi etc olden goldies.
