Manzhouli project done

Finally the long long LONG Manzhouli project has been completed! I stayed 12 days in total to get this big machine from China to Russia pass the border. But once you finish something it feels great! There was a minefield next to the site by the border...
We loaded the truck for about 2 days because the machine was very big as you can see from the pictures. After it had been loaded we checked the height, it was 435cm although the maimum height allowance for Russia is 430cm. So we had to make a quick modification in the pillars that hold the machina. Got it down to 427 cm in a prety short time :)
An abandoned factory next to the loading site...
Sawing the new measurments. The guys didn't seem to care whereter they would cut their own feet.
After the loading the truck had to be weighted before it was allowed to que into the customs. We drove it to a place where trucks are measured. The road conditions were horrible and I was seriously afraid that that the cargo might fall off (sand, rocks and holes in the road). Everything went well because of the good loading and after this the truck passed chinese customs and continued it's way to Russia

Surreal looking place...
After everything was done the truck passed the customs and went into the Russian side....
Off to Russia you go...
Manzhouli is always a little different from the other places I've been to. While driving to the airport I saw some rich guy having a "walk" with his dog from the window of his Benz. HAH! This looks so rediculus! And so does my last meal look at Masha's.
The airport if pretty bog if you think how little flights there are leaving from here. But there is nothing international and it closes around 19.00. After 19.00 the airport is closed!

Airport dining hall, empty castle
Not too many people on the flight, I got 3 seats for myself and slept the whole way
