Jaipur - Pink City

The only thing I heard about Jaipur was "Pink City". Started reading about the place in the plane from Ahmedabad. Wikipedia a city of country just before you arrive is one of the best and easiest ways to familiarise yourself with a new location. Jaipur is about 300 years old and was painted pink before one of the princes from UK visited the place in the 19th century. Pink was suppose to be his welcoming color. After that it sort of dragged on and lot of things were just made pink. The old town and it's walls around it are still intact. It's like going a bit back in time, tons of honking tuktuks and super congested traffic.

Had time to quickly swing by the Amer Fort and saw some other cool things on the way that was easy to just stop the car for. If you ever visit India then Jaipur is def a stop worth taking for sightseeing! Also Delhi & Hyderbad are great exploring areas if you just come to India for sightseeing.

Curry soon bursting out of my ears on this trip
Would be nice if there was sunshine and time to chill here
 Packed much? Safety first!
Majestic Amer Fort on the hilltop
 Trippy stairs
Can hear the Game Of Thrones opening soundtrack in my head

 Pics at Amer Fort

150 year old astronomers actually used these to watch stars from "higher up"

Love the Fort in the background!
 Looks legit
 Pigeon City
 Found these 2 parseltongues
 What a structure!!
They knew how to make gates before
So cool! Passed this palace build on water. It's not open to public for visits but would love to go and see it
