Koh Phangan - Full Moon Party

Taking the buss to the pier of Champon takes about 10 hours from Bangkok and it is a night ride. The ride was not very comfortable, the bus seats were a little smaller than they were 5 years ago when I came here the first time! After a very tiring ride we had to wait for the speed boat to take us. There were about 2 hours of half sleeping by the shore while waiting for the sun to set. But the scenery while waiting was dreamlike....

Waiting in Bangkok for 2 hours for the buss to arrive. SOOOO sweaty. Not doing this again in a while...
Finally on the Ferry after 12 hours on the road and REALLY tired, sweaty, sticky
Towards full moon party from Koh Tao!

The Lomaprayah boat ride to Koh Tao took about 1.5 hours. We went to the hotel, checked-in and back to the pier and get a ticket for Koh Phangan because of the Full Moon Party! The Full Moon Party is organized once a month....when it's full moon obviously. The beaches were covered with thousands of people and loads of electronic music, hip hop and other was played. For drinks BUCKETS is a must! You can choose your own poison, a bottle of gin 2x rebull and some tonic keeps you set for a while! Prices are a lot higher than 5 years ago, now the buckets go for about 300 baht which is about 6-7 Euros. But it's aaallll gooooood!

Bucket selections are wide, everyone should find his own favorite here !

And some stands were running guerrilla marketing..

Was really cool when they first dipped hige ropes in tar and then set it on fire. It burned for a long time, and when one set was done the text changed again!

The Full Moon Party continues until 6 am in the morning when the sun comes up, but I'm old already and left around 2 am already :)

Streets were REALLY busy, loads of great food and drinks everywhere! Amazing night!
Even if you partied a little hard it was just to get some rest and then continue again! Should have this in all outdoor parties that last for a whole night. There were guards checking it out all the time and matrasses etc everything thought out!
Shake that shake that!
