To Shanghai for a week of work

2 months in Beijing and now back to Shanghai for stuff to do and also meet up with Hede who is coming next week!

This week there has been a logistics Expo in Shanghai by all kinda of transportation companies and freight forwarders. It was held in Pudong's New Expo hall. There were 2 halls but they only had air conditioners in one of them. The heat was almost unbearable. I don't know if the AC was broken or regulated but it pisst of a lot of people who had spent 50.000 euros for a representative stand etc and not even getting a place that was cool but 35 degrees and sweaty.

The port of Le Havre in France started with a kick-off presentation + dinner and the Westin Center. It is one of the largest ports in Europe with connections to the biggest cities and ports in Europe.

Quatar Airlines had added a camel to their stand

This is how a cargo airplane looks on the inside
The Finnish stand, representing some railway and sea logistics

After the 3 day Expo there was a dinner, party and thank you speeches from many people at M1NT. I never seen M1NT in daylight, this place changes so much in the night. First thing you see when entering this place are the mini sharks in the tank.

It's been kinda rainy this week or then just cloudy, hot with humidity of about 80%. Impossible to wear a suit without becoming soaked! This old woman had put a plastic bag over her head so that she wounot get wet...Looks like she tried to choke herself!

Had some problems getting rid of my gym card. The wanted me to pay a 1000 rmb transfer fee for it. When i transfered it last time i only paid 500 but they said that time it was under "special" circumstances...Well anyway i got a little less money after selling it and someone got himself a good deal. The gym closes 23.00 and when walking home from it the subway was EMPTY! This is something REALLY rare in China, public places are almost never empty. This is People Square station, everyday over 400.000 people commute through here...Obviously not in the evening.
