Beijing!!! And now I'm 28 years!

Now it's been confirmed finally! I moving back to Beijing in beginning of April! Went to see our new office next to the airport. It will take about half an hour to get here each morning with a buss that leaves from the Dongzhimen station. I will probably move into the same complex I used to live before but prices in Beijing have gone up by around 20% - 30% in just one year for the apartments, it's a really crazy increase.

One of the complexes I went to see, kitchen looked like it was 100 years old and there was only a hose in the wall for shower. Great. Rent about 600 euros a month. 2 words: NO WAY
New office reception pretty empty. We will be over 15 people here within a few months
Office views, the airport is just next to it, you can see a plane (small dot) taking off
Developing area, not much here but next year there should be a lot of companies and new buildings established here
Spent my birthday in Beijing and went to the same good old places like before. Food and some beers at Nearby the Tree and later in the night to Vicks which is packed like always. Most of the clubs have started asking for entrance fee now. Before it was free to almost every place. I can understand why "normal" local people don't go out because it is really expensive if you have a normal salary of around 300 euros a month and with that you have to cover all your expenses.

Thank you Shuo and Mikko for the cake! Was really nice :)
There was however a little cake "incident" when Joel accidentally sat on it...The hotel wanted to get 2 Euros extra when checking out because the probably thought the stuff on the sheets was something else than cake...hah.
Cheese and meat plate in the tree is ALWAYS awesome - only about 15 euros
The hotel I stayed in looks like a big castle and is in Shuangjing area, not too far away from anything but price very reasonable. It says that it's a 5 star place but that's just some strange Chinese standard and real star rating for it would be 3-4 stars...Still all rooms have bath tubs and rooms are spacey.

Howard Johnson Regal Court
Outside the center people live in shacks...
...but what are all these satelite dishes doing on the roof???
