Sakura in Hiroshima

2 days in Hiroshima in perfect time for Sakura ! It's difficult to imagine the horrors that happened about 70 years here. All the destruction and misery people had to endure and rebuild everything. Now it's a very peaceful and quiet city. Feels like Helsinki surrounded by hills. Really love this place and could imagine myself living here someday! The sakura upp in the hills were absolutely gorgeous and the port also.

Majestic Mount Fuji! Great view from the Shinkansen speeding 300km/h + past the country side
Went for a midnight run after arriving. Crazy to think that the bomb went off 160 meters above this dome. It was the only structure standing in the city.

My Hiroshima samurais

Went for a run around the city and up on a hill overseeing the whole city. What amazing sakura here!

Pretty amazing place for final rest

Beautiful river running through the city

Hiroshima castle skyline
Temple as memorial from the bomb

Thank you all! It was a fantastic goodbye dinner and party! Will miss seeing everyone when in Singapore

Port side
And some oyster bbq by the port
And back to Tokyo by train
