Farewell Tokyo, thanks for the amazing 3 years!

It's been such amazing 3 years to live in this city. I had the best apartment I ever lived at, started a family, learned a new language, met lot of amazing people and ate some of the best ramen and fish in the world.

In Japan I fell in love with the Onsens (hot baths), food, small quirky things you can only find in this country, truly a place like no other.

Few take home learnings....There is little or no flexibility for things, BUT everything works. No delays, no surprises or no strange monkey business. Almost every restaurant have a picture and a mold done so you can see the food you are about to order. Service is 98% of the time great and you can't find bad Japanese food in Japan. Lunch deals are around 1000 yen and it gets you some good stuff. Dinners are always a lot more expensive.

Tsukuda was amazing and I will really miss our flat by the river. Quiet and killer view! The Tsukuda Family really left some amazing memories.

Also got to spend more time with my Japanese family and got to know them better. Great place for Kaj to also grow up at!

Now flying towards Singapore and few first days will be heavy watching apartments and settling down. It's another 1 way ticket again to a "new" country. Dejavu how many times have I done this already...?

Amazing Tsukuda! I wonder if I'll ever have a view like you again?
Chem also says byebye Tokyo
Tsukuda with it's old Onsen house and red bridge. Home in the background
Night view is gorgeous too
We had been talking about swimming in our river, Sumidagawa for some time. A few months ahead of the move we decided that on the last night we would take the dip. I turned out to be the only one who actually did go swimming in it. Twice! The stair down was full of barnacles and very pointy. But nothing that a few STRONG drinks can't fix. Bucket-list checked.
We also went for some last night ramen at Ginza last night. YUM
You guys rock
Starbucks Roastery has recently opened in Tokyo. There are only a few of them in the world. It's a gigantic 4 floor coffee / tea / bread / bakery place with really cool design. Have to go bby evening if you want to get in here. Daytime waiting time!

One last Disney Land tour before moving out! Was too crowded but still nice to go

Tired boy after whole day at Disney

Found this bottle from one of our parties. Lot of good wishes from great colleagues and some fine wine
Shibuya crossing, downtown!
Our local bar called "Last Stand" and the funny bartender
Last night we stayed in a robot controlled hotel called HENNNA Hotel in Ginza. Receptionist is a not a real person. Just a robot welcoming you.

NAS it! I managed to go 270 times which is a big loss against Joubins 880 times!!
Going out for a run, then to onsen and chill. Gonna miss doing this buddy
Inside the Onsen alwasy different animal themes hanging

Our last meal home without tables or chairs. Cardboard box became handy
Goodbye coffee at the airport. See you soon again!!
Flying to Singapore. So much easier and better with Kaj having his own seat! He even watched TV on the way.
