Vacation in Riga

Another new country right after Glasgow & Scotland! I came back late night and Finnair managed to forget my luggage at Heathrow. Congrats. Just repacked a bit into another suitcase and off we went to Riga the next morning. I was expecting some old buildings an a hint of Tallinn in the city...But no, it was so much more and better! There were so much mix of building styles and walking around was a joy for the eye. Great food too and prices very decent. This city deserves a lot more attention than it has now, you will be def get a good trip out of this country.

Home for less than 12 hours and off we go again

Animal Farm 

It's difficult to catch Riga on a picture because every street you take has something you want to take a picture of. The buildings are remarkable. Sweden, Germany and Russia all colonised here back in the days

The picture does not do it right but there are 3 buildings made in different style next to each other. Really pretty area!

 Riga market place is in 4 old blimp / Zeppelin hangars. So much nice food and the place is just one of kind! I have never before been in a blimp hangar!

This was my favourite place! It's just 1.5km north of downtown. Lot of graffiti, cool athmospere in the evening with cool bars and chill looking people. Can find it as "Tallinas ielas kvartäls"

Highlander in Scotland and lots of awesome Whiskey in Glasgow

My first time ever to visit Scotland. I just learned from my British friend this year that they play on a different team than England. Had no idea about that...And my application for visited countries gives a new country for it. I'm now up in 56 visited countries...Wonder how big the amount would be if cities would also count. Massive countries like India and China have so many big cities and they are so different from each other.

Spent most of the time in Glasgow but we also visited the highlands and Edinburgh. Ate too much fish and chips but loved the amazing whiskeys and walking around the city with so much old beautiful buildings and history.

We drove to Edinburgh and took a walk around downtown and castle

The Finneston Pub and Restaurant was one of my favourites. Great food, whiskey and awesome bartender giving me a lot of whiskey stories and advice
