Penang Malaysia - A Heritage Island

The annual workshop was this year in Penang, amazing little Island! So much culture and heritage here. It's already 5 years since I was here last time. Like last time also, I rented a scooter for a bit and drove in the jungle and highlands. Gorgeous and good food!

Arriving at Penang airport, long way from Tokyo here!!
Making the tables ready for the welcome dinner
Lucky with the sunny weather
7 am morning run
Some drinks at Mish Mash, they make awesome cocktails!

Evening run, amazing red sky
A differnt kind of guest arrived at our table
The 2 last days there was some sightseeing arranged and I also rented a scooter to drive around the island a bit. Gorgeous white empty beaches in the south and beautiful highland landscapes in the center up in the jungles. Best way to see this place is def by scooter or motorbike.

The clan houses by the water
A prayer
Penang has a lot of street art in Georgetown, found some cool ones.

Street food here is amazing, cheap too.
Hai Boey only open in the evening, looks amazing by the beach
Up in the mountains
Empty streets!
Infinity and empty beach found!
Cool down by the colonial Eastern hotel with an ice cold Tiger
Optimus Prime was guarding Time Square
Manchu is a cool Chinese themed bar
Amazing view from a Hindi temple
Monkey at temple didn't look too happy
Found this empty temple in the south east part of the island
Canton Association has a pretty cool building in George Town
Randomly found a massive cemetery when the sun was setting
Khoo clan temple. The courtyard is called Cannon Square because the British bombed it with cannon about 100 years ago

Come do a Heritage Walk in George Town
Sunsets...
Say by to tourists here
Wonder what's on that island, beach looks very white!
Me and the ride stopping to admire the ocean
From THE TOP, 244 meters above ground. This used to be Asia's highest building some 20 years ago. Pretty creepy with the glass floor but nice view over the city!

Fly via Hong Kong back home, bye Penang!!
