Out in the wilderness of Kandy

After our 2 days in Colombo we continued out to Kandy which is the second largest and important city in Sri Lanka. The road to Kandy is 2 lanes and there are tons of trucks and buses on it as well. The fact that Kandy is in the highlands does not make the traffic any easier. A 80 km strip is about 4 hours. Or more if traffic is bad.

Went to see some decision makers about infantile colic and also check on the local pharmacy distributors. Coming to Kandy during September is worth it to see the Perahera. Last year I just happened to be in town for that. Hundreds of marching elephants and fire dancers. Go back about 1 year to see my post for that.

Coconuts anyone?
