Amazing Gorgeous Faroe Islands

It's always been on my bucketlist to visti ALL Scandinavian countries and the last one I was missing were the Faroe Islands that actually belong to Denmark. We took a flight via Copenhagen from Helsinki to get there.

Singapore implemented a Vaccine travel lane travel pass. First it was only Germany that was a country you coudl travel to without any quarantine. Then they added Holland, Denmark. Since Faroe Islands were part of Denmark I thought it was the perfect chance to take! And pretty much no one was traveling at this time.

We rented a car that we picked up at the airport and stayed at the Hilton hotel. It was just amazing to land with all the high cliffs. It rains most of the days here but we still enjoyed it a lot. The food was so good too, specially after being almost 2 years away from Europe.

Breath-taking airport!!

We drove maybe 20 minutes and had to stop at this insanely beautiful sunset

First meal, the best fish soup I had in my life! You HAVE to visit if here - Fiskastykkiö

The sunset outside Fiskastykkiö was something else

We went for a nightly walk around downtown too. Was absolutely empty and dead. Somehow felt a lot like Hobart in Tazmania

Found Mikkeller Bar, that was also empty. No Covid restrictions here, bartender (and kept drinking himself) was really cool and we loved the IPA's

Room with a view to wake up at
So far one of the best hotel breakfasts I had was here
Wazzuuuup
We drove around the whole day until darkness came. I have no good words how to describe the beauty of this island

STORM!

Salmon farming is a big part of the business, here are some of them

We went for some fine dining at The Tarv Grilllhouse. They are famous for their sheep steaks and they were fantastic as well. Bet sheep i had. There are only a 100k people on the islands but millions of sheep!

Seafood was great too

REALLY have to come back here again. Until then....Bye
