Tokyo winters, it's time to throw beans!

The absolute best thing here with winters are the open air or outdoors hot springs when it's cold outside! Soaking in a 42-46 degree bath is one of the best things I know. Maybe it's the sauna culture we have in Finland that's one reason for it.

This weekend it was the "bean throwing" festival. It's a sign that "spring is in the air" and you throw away bbad luck. It's being held in many places around Tokyo but my favourite is with Tokyo tower in the background as view.
 Caught 4 packs! Thanks Sumo-san

Lot of people had come to catch beans and snacks
The temple also have a memorial to lost children
What an awesome weekend weather

"Le Messenger" standing and watching over Tokyo from our bridge. Some French artist made. Took me 3 years to find that out.
HOME!!
Cool logo, Teisoh
So our Tsukuda lake has been under construction a few weeks now
Onsen = Hot spring in Japanese #1: Favourite part of the day, taking a bath after the run! Found a new place in Koto-ku from the 1960s! They really kept it like it was back 60 years ago. And there is one tub with 47 degree hot water, so far the hottest I've been to. Cold drink sure taste good after it.
 Love these old lockers
Took a photo in secret from the outdoor seating / smoking area. Pond full of huge fish!

Onsen #2: This one is located just a few hundred meters from the earlier mentioned above and is called Tatsumiyu. This place is probably from the 90s or so. Sometimes sumo wrestles come to this place because the training houses are located in the area. There is also a room full of manga comics to read while you cool down or sit in the bath. Hottest bath here goes up to 45 degrees. Leave you shoes in the locker when arriving and pick up the wooden number that unlock and locks the box.
Welcome to Tatsumiyu. Girls to left and guys to right
Better than any beer, seriously. When you been soaking in 45 degrees and then getting a close to 0 degree cold Pokari sweat from a can!
Not sure why they hung these small animals in the roof this week. It usually changes what they have dangling around. Only in Japan!
Found a new ramen place in Ginza that definitely comes my Top 5 all time ramen. So good the soup! So good the chili garlic sauce they made. Aaand as much home made kimchi as you want to eat. And that's not all. They had all One Piece mangas in a big shelf when entering. 10/10 ! Coming back soon again.

We also had some super fancy Unagi in Shibuya in the weekend. 5000 yen for this amazing box. Too good! Could have had 4 of them.
Microbrewery and lunch place with view over Sumidagawa river and sky-tree. Why didn't I find this years ago already???
Never gets old to run out to Toyosu
First sign of Sakura already here! 2 more months to go
Strong winds collected som garbage. First time I see "pollution" in Tokyo. Everything is usually so clean and neat here.
Found a second hand garage sale spot when jogging around Koto-ku

Check this guys, new strong flavour!
Some days were more gloomy than others
Kaj don't mind the gloominess at all
Tsukuda in reflections!
