A place I never visited before, also known as the worlds coldest Capital! It's been about -25 in the daytime and -35 in the night time. Yesterday as low as -41 because of heavy northern winds. The Ramada hotel I'm staying in for the first 2 days has been warm and all the offices I visited were warm as well, heating works better here than Shanghai....And the internet here is 100x faster than China and NOTHING is blocked. I'm really getting fed up with Beijing's slow ass internet.
Mountains and nothing else...
Weird snow formations
My bag came out as the second one! Never seen this before, noticed it from the blue AKTIA strap
Chingis Khan welcoming you at the airport :)
Mongolian BBQ! The meat here is much better than in China!
Was invited to a charity event at the British embassy the second evening here. The expats who works here are really nice, and there is quite a limited number of them too.
We collected 2 million local money for orphan kids! (1100 euro)
After the charity party we went to have a beer at Sky Lounge, new shopping mall with a bar in the highest floor
Ulan Bator is in a valley and in the winter a lot of people are burning coal causing a lot of pollution here. Because of the strong wind yesterday the day was really ear but today quite smoggy and you can feel the acrid smell of burnt coal!
