Had some extra time after the wedding to do some sightseeing. Wuhan is a place with loads of culture and history. It was one of the most prosperous cities in ancient times because of the extensive trade by the yellow river. Now Wuhan is the home for one on Chinas biggest steel industries. The air smelled or smoke and burned when I landed here.
Morning mist/smog over the city

Where is Wuhan? Right here!
Wuhan is famous for it's East lake but there are a lot of dead fish in it because of the lack of oxygen...
Karaoke for one evening :)
The Guiyuan temple
Turtle pond
Wuhan's most famous dish, dry hot noodles with hot sauce!
This whole lunch was less than 1 euro
Hygiene first in this kitchen...

No spitting inside the museum, just in case it was not clear for you
The tension between China and Japan is still at large. Like you can see they call the Japanese "the devils"....
Wuhan's xintiandi, the "western area". I walked around a long time trying to find some western breakfast but the only thing I found was some sandwich with sweet bread and a very refreshing smoothie.
Instead of adding some oil to the door and making it smooth, just pull HARD!
Uncle Sams burgers was closed, they told me the chef has gone out "somewhere"
They had a funny emergency pack in the Holiday Inn hotel...only for emergency use!
Not too long time ago they still tied women's feet into mini shoes so that they were almost unable to walk. The women had to wear these tiny shoes for their whole life and never take them off so that the foot could never grow big. My friends dad who is a doctor still has one skeletal part of this in his study, like you can see the foot is just the size of my hand.
