I was expecting this place to be totally packed in Xidi and the Yellow mountain since it is a Chinese holiday. I travelled to Hangzhou once on the Chinese national day and it was horrible. Streets were like an ants nest everywhere. Maybe it's because the Mooncake Festival is a family reunion holiday and people are home with their relatives instead of traveling.
We had some outdoor BBQ last night in the ancient town. They had all kinds of meat and, squid, veggies etc. We took a huge basket of stuff and paid just below 10 euros with beers included. Was tasty and sitting out in this small town with almost 1000 year history eating in the night is awesome. Was one of the best evening outdoor BBQs I had in China so far.
