I only been one Christmas away from home back in 2007 when i was with Niko spending it with some Danish people in Shanghai.
Some Finnish traditions in my family on the 24th of December:
1. Morning Christmas Sauna around 10 a'clock
2. Eating Christmas porridge for lunch
3. Decorating the Christmas-tree
4. Taking candles to the cemetery
5. Huge dinner with Ham, Fish, Drinks, songs etc etc
6. Opening the presents in the evening
7. More drinking
We had the biggest Christmas party so far at my parents place this year. The closest relatives and grandparents all together enjoying traditional Christmas with huge amounts of food and drinks. We had a little trouble in how to get 17 people seated by the table at the same time but luckily i have a handy dad who extended the table 2m so that we could fit all chairs.
Food was great, thank you all for the lovely presents！
